Additional Information

  • Please remember to have your trash out and ready for pick-up no ​later than 7:00am the morning of your scheduled pick-up  


  • Please note that trash pickup will be delayed one day after a holiday for the week. For example, when there is a Monday holiday, Monday trash will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday on Wednesday and so on.  Yard debris is collected on the same day as regular trash .


  •  Computers and electronics are collected on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a prior call to the DPW at 401-231-4000.

Attention Johnston residents! Trash & recycling pickup will NOT be delayed on Monday, February 19, as RI Resource Recovery will be OPEN. Please have your bins out as usual.

However, Town buildings will be CLOSED in observance of Presidents Day.
